Our 2007 Tempranillo Reserve marks the fourth year of producting Tempranillo and we continue to be supprised by each new edition. The 2007, differs greatly from our other Tempranillos and we think it might just be the perfect Tempranillo. This wine features everything it’s predecessors did, big fruit like in the 2004s, subtle dryness like in the 2005 Reserve, and chocolate on the nose and palate like in the 2006 Reserve, but this wine also has several welcome additions, such as vanilla, plum, huckleberries, and a touch of leather on the nose and cherry, strawberry, herbs, earth and of course chocolate, on the palate. We’re not ashamed to say that this wine has something for each of the senses.
If you’re going to age one of our wines for the next few years, this one is it. Of course, we wouldn’t sell it unless it was good now, but the blanace of this wine could handle cellering and you might just be glad you did.
