We checked in on 2005 Tempranillo in advance of bottling this winter. It's very promising.
- Barrel 1 - less fruit and flowers, more spice and pepper than barrels 3 & 4.
- Barrel 2 - same as #1, less flower more spice.
- Barrel 3 - super fruity and flowery, a bit of spice such as marjoram and pepper.
- Barrel 4 - GREAT nose, lots of fruit/flowers, vanilla, oak obvious.
Very encouraging. I am a '04 Reserve fan and worried that the 2005 wouldn't compete. I am no longer worried. -Jon-
