Syrah is a traditionally smoky varietal except when produced in hot climates with high yields. Our Syrah comes from a hot climate but is cropped to a smaller yield to produce an intense nose and pallet. 27 months in barrel softens the tannins and adds notes behind the fruit.
Expect to find a prominent raisin or plum aroma with hints of clove, custard, and chestnut. The pallet is fruit-forward and dry, with a lingering finish. Enjoy with a hearty meal or none at all.
